Legrand proudly presents its upcoming mega project in the Jabal Omar area, in the sacred city of Makkah al Mukarramah.

Jabal Omar not is not only a significant landmark, but also turning into one of the largest contributors to urban development in the Middle East. Legrand is working on its absolutely grand project in  Jabal Omer’s surrounding area to build and develop a modern city where the perfect facilities are integrated to help pilgrims and residents alike. This project will turn the area into a unique, well designed, well set up establishment.

The responsibilities and functions for the project are divided between different teams to achieve better efficiency in its execution. The specification team, headed by Yara and Wessam, works on the vendor lists of Hotel operators such as Wundham, Fairmount, Hilton, Mariott, Accor, Kempinski, Hyatt,  Radisson, Copethorne, Millennium, Moevenpick , and IHG Group. Their aim is to get the brand name included in these lists. The sales team, on the other hand takes matters pertaining to the contractors into their hands, and work over submittals.  The project, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year, will turn the city into a modern one. Throughout its inception, the Grand Mosque in Makkah has been undergoing several development projects, but this one is a unique, exclusive experience. It is specifically designed to facilitate the pilgrimage process and blend into the overall environment a modern feel.

The sacred city of Makkah embraces more than one and a half billion Muslims from all over the world. This is a project that was much needed by the city and Legrand is proud to be associated with it.
