Since its first commercial contacts with Saudi Arabia in 1974, and the set up of the representative office in 1978, Legrand KSA has grown steadily in line with the economic performance of the local market, which led to develop a solid position in the electrical industry with a leading market share position on wiring accessories. Enjoying an image of high quality products and expertise in the electrical field, added to the solid commercial policies set up with our partners (distributors and retailers), Legrand KSA was able to develop its position in a health y and profitable manner. The strongest positions acquired today are on the projects segment, and many efforts have been deployed to gain more market share in the retail sector. A recent program of retail refurbishment has been launched with a very positive welcoming from the market.

Legrand has recently moved out to new offices in Riyadh and Al-Khobar to support our network and customers with a bigger operation. The inauguration took place in April 2013 and was attended by the Legrand Sales Vice President, Mr. Michel Marion. The new offices include dedicated showrooms to showcase our product lines and solutions along with a training center tailored to our distributors, technicians, engineers, consultants and contractors.

These new offices, in addition to the head office and training center in Jeddah, have enabled Legrand KSA to confirm its efforts in providing added-value support to the professionals of the electrical field, through its regular seminars, training and information sessions organized year-round. Legrand KSA trains over 500 trade professionals per year.

Moreover, as Legrand is actively pursuing its strategy of development through self-financed acquisitions of small to medium-size businesses with leading positions in their markets, Legrand KSA has purchased Seico. Seico is the leader of the Saudi market for industrial metal cable trays, a segment where it is also a top player in other countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council. Seico’s strong ties to key players in the oil and gas market in the Gulf also strengthens Legrand’s positions in this high-growth market segment. Seico has three production plants in Saudi Arabia. 

Legrand KSA is fully in line with the goal of the KSA Government regarding hiring and training Saudis and fulfilling their aspirations for the future. Many qualified Saudi candidates are already part of our Legrand KSA staff to serve our partners and marketplace. Legrand KSA is striving to create a pool of Saudi talent within the organization to propel its growth in the Kingdom. Legrand is grooming this Saudi team not only for our industrial projects but also for technical support in view of our historical presence in KSA.
